Members of the Parliamentary Network of Insurance, Financial, and Monetary Institutions, REPPAS, of the Cameroon National Assembly, were September 19, 2024, visitors of the General Manager of the Port Authority of Douala, PAD, Cyrus Ngo’o. The 21-man delegation was led by Honorable Dieumeni Benilde, Chair of the Parliamentary Network of REPPAS.

The General Manager of the Port Authority of Douala in his welcome statement, briefed the visiting delegation on the port’s current operations, ongoing projects and plans for her expansion and modernization.

The Members of Parliament, MPs, told the management of the PAD that their visit was in line with their quest in fostering collaboration among financial institutions, enhancing knowledge acquisition and sharing, while promoting effective policies that drive economic growth. ‘By engaging directly with key stakeholders of the Port of Douala-Bonabéri, parliamentarians will gather valuable insights to inform legislative measures and improve financial ecosystems’, they said.
