Paul Biya dans son discours programmatique du 6 octobre 2011 \u00e0 Douala, le projet de s\u00e9curisation p\u00e9rim\u00e9trique de l\u2019espace portuaire, qui a donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 Douala Port Security (DPS), la R\u00e9gie de S\u00fbret\u00e9 et de S\u00e9curit\u00e9 du Port de Douala-Bonab\u00e9ri, a chang\u00e9 en profondeur la physionomie et la stature du combinat portuaire.<\/p><p>La construction de la cl\u00f4ture p\u00e9rim\u00e9trique est un fait. L\u2019\u00e9clairage du domaine est effectif. Plus de 800 cam\u00e9ras de divers types permettent la surveillance 24h\/24 du domaine portuaire, \u00e0 partir de salles de contr\u00f4le ultra-modernes. Ce dispositif est compl\u00e9t\u00e9 par 500 officiers et ma\u00eetres de ports form\u00e9s selon les exigences du Code ISPS. Pour la surveillance des plans d\u2019eau et des fronti\u00e8res maritimes, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019installation du syst\u00e8me de surveillance et d\u2019information du trafic maritime VTMIS (Vessel Traffic Management
