Il est entr\u00e9 en service le 28 avril 2021, apr\u00e8s 20 ans d&rsquo;inactivit\u00e9 caus\u00e9e par un accident qui l\u2019avait d\u00e9truit.<\/p><p>Cette infrastructure a \u00e9t\u00e9 dimensionn\u00e9e pour accueillir des navires de la taille du Tanker M\/T Cape Limboh, avec des tirants d\u2019eau de l\u2019ordre de 8,5 m\u00e8tres. Il peut donc recevoir des bateaux de 20.000 tonnes m\u00e9triques au lieu des 14.000 tonnes du quai provisoire jadis. Cette plateforme est dot\u00e9e de bras de d\u00e9chargement modernes et de derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, d\u2019une nappe de cinq tuyauteries de 8 \u00e0 10 pouces de diam\u00e8tre, partant de la plateforme p\u00e9troli\u00e8re \u00e0 la chambre \u00e0 vannes de la SCDP.<\/p><p>Avec ce dispositif, le d\u00e9bit de pompage est \u00e9valu\u00e9 \u00e0 environ 600 m3\/h, soit une r\u00e9duction du temps d\u2019environ 30%. Ce qui contribue \u00e0 diminuer le d\u00e9lai de s\u00e9jour des navires \u00e0 quai, par ricochet, les co\u00fbts des surestaries.<\/p><p>La reconstruction de cette infrastructure faisait partie des projets prioritaires de la strat\u00e9gie de modernisation et de d\u00e9veloppement du Port de Douala-Bonab\u00e9ri, engag\u00e9e par la Direction
